First and foremost, we want to clarify that connecting your SLX Products to your mobile device is not the same as connecting your common Bluetooth devices. Our products are designed to connect directly within the apps they're made to work with, so you can easily access all the features without any hassle.
However, we've noticed that some of you might experience connection issues from time to time, and we're here to help you sort it out. The most common issue we've seen is having two separate apps trying to connect to your SLX Product at the same time. It's like your device is stuck in a game of tug-of-war, poor thing!
To avoid this, make sure to have only one app running at a time. You DO NOT need to have SLX Connect running to use E6 Connect, so you can switch between the apps without any problem.
- Oh, and just so you know, we're currently working on integrating the Firmware Update app into our SLX Connect app, but for now, they're separate applications. We know it can be confusing, but we're doing our best to make things easier for you.
Now, onto the second most common reason for disconnection: low battery. Yep, it happens to the best of us. So, make sure your device is charged, and you'll be back to sinkin’ birdies in no time!
Third, if you're using an external Bluetooth Dongle on your PC, and you're experiencing some trouble, updating the Drivers on your PC might just do the trick. We're always here to help you troubleshoot, but sometimes, we might not be able to find the solution right away. If you're stuck, don't worry! Just start a Help Desk Ticket, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Lastly, if you’ve exhausted all your efforts on the remedies mentioned above, then you may have just been the unlucky winner of a rare, defective unit. We do apologize for that inconvenience, as it is with anything in production, we do encounter a handful of faulty devices sporadically.
